Intelligent people? Where are they now... the Moon?

People like myself look around and wonder where all the intelligent people have gone to. Did we make a mistake? Have they already emigrated to the moon? Has Elon Musk been lying to us? How many rockets has he actually built? Leaving imbecilic people behind? Walking around our once prosperous nation you can see decay all around. It is not bad, to the tune of everyone sleeping in doorways but there is noticeable a distinct degradation of the environment. The carelessness that young people display. The quality of the air we need to breathe. The way developers have gone on using green belt land allowed by uneducated, uncaring public servants. The way elected dwarves keep telling the rest of us how hard they work and need a ten percent rise in earnings. Worse, if they cannot get that reduce the amount earmarked for environmental upkeep. The way they judge allocation of resources. Resources like housing, and social assistance. So, yes, things are not so bad. Every spring the grass will start growing again, particularly noticeable in our streets. Every nook and cranny showing the joyous arrival of the sun. I have taken to putting grass seed in the ever increasing potholes, yes, why not? At least it is a useful thing to do. Police horses will be thankful. Police horses will grow in number as diesel and petrol will have become scarce. Two reasons, Ed Miliband and the Iran War. Imagine what this nation would be able to do if he again became our PM? Lead the world, not sure in what but he will have some idea, I’m sure.

Well, that’s the world today. At least that is our bit. The human world is so much bigger. European and North American population is about 1.1 billion all together. That is 1/7th of the world population! Yet is these 1.1billion that continually are attempting to rule the roost. Politically as well as economically. In particularly 300 million Americans under the careful leadership of a golfing fanatic. Europe is still much too divided to form a coherent unit. But France, Germany and Britain are the three countries trying to emulate. These three European countries, Britain in particular, have had a good go in the past, viz Colonisation. There is some talk about ‘World Order’. The POTUS in particular seems to be wedded to the idea. Together with a dilapidated Russia still thinking it matters on the world stage and China they are trying to divide the world into three influence zones. Wishful thinking. Why? The locally sourced raw materials are no longer easily accessed or available. Certainly not in Europe as such. Lithium in particular. The other thing is consumption. Food to feed the ever increasing populations, particularly in Britain where political decisions have devastated farming. Thinking it was cheaper and easier to import. The problem there is global warming, those countries hitherto able to produce the greens and fruit are finding the failing climate very detrimental to quality and quantity. Present day politicians tend to get on with wishful thinking rather than forward planning and working out alternatives to possible future calamities. The British political spectrum is a case in point. I used to call it ‘Stop-Gap Politics’. A problem arises, quick solutions are implemented which in turn open up a myriad other problems and so on and on. Viz. The changed two-child cap on Child Benefit. Now opened up to all children up to sixteen years old. Sounds brilliant doesn’t it? Actually, I do not really have to point out the problems. Just the one, the vastly increasing social cost. The others you can figure out by yourselves. I promise, you won’t need a university degree!
