How did the vote go? Who knows...

What can we say about this latest joke? The many Council’s election across the UK? Well, in reality nothing much. Yes, councils will alter in political set-up but the country is still led by, as I read some political commentator name the PM, Mr Snoozefest. The danger is Mr Snoozefest will be forced to wake up to dance to the tune of people we have never heard of. Perhaps even Putin. I say this because now it is almost certain the party of Labour incompetents will now move to the far vleft of the political spectrum. So, hold your hats on for more immigrants, more benefits for the lazy, more university courses for Mickey Mouse degrees which will lead to nowhere. And even more worrying, more ‘Gaza’ protests.

We may rightfully ask where have all these wonderful promises gone to? Were they just mere lies to get us to vote Labour? Remember – ‘Country first, party second’ from Mr Snoozefest? Spoken by a lawyer? Someone who would knows the difference between reality and dreams? It seems to me, Labour was never ready for the opportunity that came their way because of the abhorrent way the Conservatives left this country. They were ‘cock-a-hoop’ but that is not enough to start governing. Looking at the likes of Rayner and cohorts, we’ve got people with very little idea how to lead a nation. These ‘guys’ come with ideas about how to save electricity by only doing the wash-up once a week. Beyond that they have no idea. They talk glibly about – “How to improve lives of working people” without any idea what to do or how to go about it. Surely, it is not just about working people, it is about ALL people. To just look at workers and increase taxes on them is as far from looking after working people, as far as I can see!

So, now this party of Labour has taken a beating but is it enough? More so, is it the wrong time? Would changing leader bind the wounds? Personally, I doubt it, it might make matters even worse. Believe me, Rayner as PM would be a disaster equivalent to an hydrogen bomb on the centre of London. Working people, her favourite words, would be just treated as cash-cows. The truth is a stark one, there is NO-ONE in the Labour party who knows how to lead a nation or party! No-one. In Wales the people have finally woken up to that truth. Labour has had over 30 years to prove what they promised to happen. Beyond calling Wales a Country of Welcome or something like that which basically is something a three-year old would say, their legacy is unbelievingly dismal. To say they left their tenure better than when they came into power is the statement Trump would make. And we know what he is like. I don’t mind saying I voted Plaid, I suppose you could argue I would as I am a member but even I hesitated with the ballot paper in front. Should I vote Reform? I must say I was tempted. But Reform is brand-new, they have no record beyond very good sounding rhetoric. I do like what they are saying but to prove it? We will have to see what and how in the various boroughs where they hold power or influence. Especially in Wales. Happy though to say the area where I live is now devoid of Labour Senedd members. But sorry to say unfortunately it also is devoid of the Labour hard working competents! There are now two ways, either total collapse or a slow grind up the wall to greatness again, if they can.
