Penguins of the world unite! Uncle Sam is after you!

If there was any doubt at all that the White House is now staffed by imbecilic persons read this what Ian Dunt, a columnist for the British publication iNews said - "This might be the single stupidest thing any of us will ever see", Dunt argued. "It is stupid in every way: presentationally, intellectually, politically, methodologically, morally and of course economically. The word stupid doesn’t really suffice for the full level of idiocy we’ve now reached”. Dunt found himself particularly appalled by the chart that Trump showed that contained wildly inflated figures about the tariffs foreign nations slap on American products. "It looked like something out of US daytime television – those garish cheaply produced shows where you can win a cash prize if you spin a wheel," he remarked. "You half expected a showgirl to appear behind the American flags, draped over a tariff quota rate. That’s what he is really: a cheap knock-off daytime TV presenter. The numbers on the chart were pure gibberish."

Does that say it all? Well, no, he goes on - In fact, the numbers on the chart were so far from reality that Dunt struggled to come up with the words to adequately describe them. "It’s hard to state just how nonsensical that actually is," he wrote. "You might as well divide the numbers of apples in your kitchen by the number of bagels and use it to calculate your mortgage rate. To criticize it on political or economic grounds is too generous. It operates below the level of rational thought”.

Well, hello pretty clear that isn’t it? It has become clear that the US Administration has no idea at all about economics or how the financial world systems work. But of course it has to be said penguins are the richest birds on the planet and should be told their exports are to be levied an extra 45%. After a lot of squawking they apparently have asked for a meeting in the White House. The only problem is listening to Vance he is the only one that squawks Penguin. Hopefully the penguins will understand his dialect.The penguins are now ordering weapons from North Korea because as they indicated they want to liberate their brethren held in deplorable conditions in zoo’s all over the US.

Yes friends, this indeed is 2025 should you have tried to figure out whether you are actually alive. I am beginning to wonder if I have eaten chlorinated chicken from KFC. Do they? By the way, penguins have been seen in the Atlantic, possibly on the move to Greenland. Perhaps someone should let them know Vance has already left.

Have we still got Credit for the National Debt?

A few of my friends have said to me, ‘Like to read your comments’, and ‘ How can you believe all politicians are wasters or idiots?’ Well yes, good observation. Obviously not all politicians are wasters but when you view the national debt, now standing at I believe at over two trillion pounds you must ask yourself this question – Did I saddle the nation with that? No? OK then who did? You’re right, politicians. This pertains then to all because it is they who make the decisions. They will defend themselves by saying that all they do is in our best interests, but is that really true? Take the Covid debacle with PPI, millions if not billions, were wasted. Panic buying, bad decisions and more. Take the foreign aid budget, millions again sent to nations who have used it to finance their space programme. Or purchased weaponry. Tonyrefail going to jail!

Always I have my ears (and eyes) open to happenings around, especially the rumours that abound. One of these rumours is about a jail. The rumours say that the Welsh Government had written to all Welsh local authorities to find out possible locations etc. The only Authority replied was Rhondda Cynon Taf. Interesting? Of course it is because now my brain begins to tick over. I am sure that the Home Office and as a representative, the Welsh government would want easy access to the motorway system. Here comes the M4! Not too far from the conurbation (Cardiff/Newport/Swansea). So that means Central Eastern South Wales. Next would be land ready for building. Guess what? Tonyrefail has a few sites already in that category. The best being the Coedely Mine (cleared) site. Why? It is not particularly near to housing. So, could it be Tonyrefail being the prime candidate?
