"I love working people, yawn"

One of those most wonderful sounding statements from politicians such as our knowledgeable PM is “ Making lives better for working people”. From where I am sitting that’s not very much then is it? The way our country is going and being governed there will be more and more people who are NOT working. One way or another, either being so-called “Unfit” or have the latest fad “Mentally unfit”. It doesn’t seem to bother them because loads more are in the waiting queue. We hear more and more of young people who just want to travel. Vietnam seems to be the place six-formers dream of. The funny thing is our PM seems to be totally unaware of this state of affairs. Or if he is, just closes his eyes and stops cotton wool in his ears. He just loves being on the world stage looking like a prat. He has no idea what is going on, he just carries the royal letter of invitation to come and watch Trooping the Colour. We are good at that. In any case the lives of working people is not getting better, it is getting worse day by day. The taxes being levied on almost everything shows the state of affairs. It is high time someone tells our governing rabble to cut the stupid verbal outpourings, shut the cakehole and for once do something constructive.

What does anyone think about a government that feeds the breakdown of society as the present government is doing? Not to say the previous Cons idiots? And this is just the problem we have today. I am not a far right thinker, I am middle of the road but this crap we have to live with, day by day, can make anyone a far-right supporter. The problem is that sooner or later the pot will boil over. It doesn’t even need stirring! The rumblings are already shaking the ground. Flags are appearing, demonstrations galore. Newspapers daily report the goings on. The boats instead of being returned just keep getting bigger and now in one day a thousand come to sun themselves on the beaches. All our PM is bothered with is who to choose as his next fall guy or gal whilst smiling happily to tell the reporters listening about his love for working people. He has learned one thing well, how to obfuscate the reality on the ground. Perhaps he was better as DPP, should have stayed to bore the living daylights out of all the colleagues.

It might be something to do with the way politics are carried out in the democratic world. It is great that anyone who feels they have compassion for working people can put themselves up for election. As indeed happens in the UK. The problem is what do the incumbents really know about the issues? Bar the local problems they bring with them? Prime Ministers Questions sometimes show that. Not to downsize local issues and local personal problems here but what do these have to do with nationwide problems? Because PMQ time has degenerated into a bad comedy show. As indeed is any and every public appearance by our hallowed whizz kids of Parliament Square. It is choreographed and designed to keep our heads down and believing all is well. But slowly, a bit too slowly, all of us are beginning to see that things are not so well at all and haven’t been for some time. Perhaps before too long a new dance will start and a new load of ballerinas will dance the lambada. God help us all.
