The Americans our saviours? Eh....

 A bit of news that loads of people will not know about. Simply because it came out from Euronews.com. Alo because it is relatively new – issued 1/12/2025. Precisely what I have said before as well. Indeed many people know it except our invaluable politicians. In particular British politicians. To see Starmer laying down prostate before Trump was an affront to our national dignity. But he was not on his own, anyone forget the ‘Dear Donald...” cringefest from the even more deluded previous premier, now NATO chief, Rutte? A failed Dutchman, and there are many more kowtowing to Trump like he is the real emissary from God. One may well ask why we have arrived at this type of sweet-talking specific people. The general said quite well the fact the United States saw Europe as inconsequential except perhaps for a bit of business. Treating the Ukraine war as a bit of a real estate deal. Pointing out the recent revelations involving Witkoff envoy to the Middle East and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law as evidence of Washington’s primary interest in doing business with Russia when all this kerfuffle is concluded.

He is quite right to also mention that a very unfavourable conclusion for Ukraine will mean millions of more refugees. It might being seen as the US Secretary of State Rubio is not joining the NATO meeting in Brussels December 3-4. Nice going US! The general was also of the opinion Europe is way behind the current administration’s list of priorities. Europe is lucky to be number four, behind the Western Hemisphere, the Indo-Pacific and the Middle-East. Indeed, the general just put the situation down pretty basic but as it is. I think it is pretty clear the way Trump speaks, deals and acts, showing clearly the way things are going. We, here in Europe, are fools to believe he is interested in NATO or indeed in the relationship that has been built since WW2. Not interested unless it means loads of money. Orders for planes and all sorts of other things. Frankly if we in western Europe had not been so idiotic in allowing the US to run the show, we would have had a much better industrial base. But it is not too late, we can easily outperform the US. I hasten to add not with our present incompetent government. These are now more interested in believing our economy can pay for the extraordinary amount in social benefits. Mostly going to the work-shy and the moneypit that is the NHS. Our Labour government has so deeply dug themselves into a pit they will never get out off that the only way for them is to just leave and close the door.

Do we really understand our adversaries?

Having read one of the Telegraph’s articles, the ones that are sent called Top Stories on mobiles, named ‘Putin will soon turn his war machine on Britain’ , I wasn’t sure whether to start packing my belongings or laugh uproariously. It was attributed to Ben Wallace , a former Secretary for Defence, so it must be taken seriously. Looking at the article at first one can easily dismiss it as a bit of fanciful drivel, much like loads of other ‘ Telling you what is going to happen’ stuff. Obviously most does not, will not happen or are just fancy personal emanations of deep-seated fear of the unknown. Whatever, I wouldn’t think someone like Sir Ben would succumb to such fear. So, I read the article again and picked up the psychological slant on meetings with people who have had little discourse or meetings with opponents in foreign climes. The mantra is 'Build, build, build!

The m antra today, the political mantra that is, appears to be – 'affordable housing'. Sounds good doesn’t it? Well, at least it will sound good for those looking for a home, house or flat, which they can afford. The new Labour government and it was the mouthpiece, the deputy PM who stated unequivocally, ‘We will be building millions of new homes all across the country within three years’. Absolutely bl**ding brilliant. I am applauding. Hey wait, are there any thoughts on this? Has the government researched this properly? Or is it as per the usual government action, a lovely soundbite? Let’s assume they will do what they said they will do. First, the land, where will they be built? Londonistan is full and the land around the city is needed for recreation.
