Get working, politicians of Europe.

Exactly like in the Thirties of the last century, we are sleepwalking into a war. Most likely a world war. Just watch the politics today. Plenty of meetings between leaders of the West European nations and that’s it. It all gets sold as “We are peacemakers”. It seems no-one really understands what makes countries like Russia, North Korea and yes, also China tick! And if they do, just ignore it. After all aren’t we here doing well? Let’s keep it that way. The problem is, it is not entirely in our own hands. Do people like Starmer look at what the overriding rationale of the Russian top is? Even I can see it. All the actions we have seen so far show only one direction despite denials. It is about influence. Perhaps not so much in actual conquering other countries but basically subjugating them and pulling them into their sphere. It is not just about taking 20% of Ukraine. Yes, we have that, thank you for the minerals but we also want you to follow us! And as we are at that, how about doing Poland and Eastern Germany. But why stop there, the rest of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium as well are also ready for us. Look at their problems, terrorism, gang violence, immigration. The autocracies have just one aim, the rest of the world. To them democracy is a cancer killing the planet. I must be scrupulously honest here, does democracy deserve to survive? Looking at the situation in the UK, I would say, democracy? What democracy, even here the path to authoritarianism is being followed more and more. Political parties like Labour have their basis in authoritarianism.

Secondly, there is a lot of talk in western countries about the way American politics is today. In particular the verbal emanations of its president. Frankly, he is correct in saying western Europe is on a downward spiral. The countries of western Europe are led by donkeys and have been for quite some time. In Europe after WW2 we just took our eyes of the ball in believing all will be sugar and spice. Why not, the Americans were doing all the hard work, weren’t they? We can justifiably go back to bed, let’s get the unemployed of the world come and clean our toilets. Indeed, as Trump indicated Europe is no longer important, let them wallow in their own sh*t.

So, what now? Like all such situations they cannot be solved overnight but people like Zelensky know it and is desperately trying to convince Starmer and Co. supporting him will be paying dividends later on. Not just in Ukraine but the remainder of Europe also. Whilst the Russian hierarchy is still believing in the road to conquest, a strong defense system needs to be developed. Not in the future but right now. If needed use the money of the Russian sequestrated cash pile.

Just for starters, stop thinking life is a never-ending holiday and get working, politicians of Europe.
