A concerted look at the world? Hmmm...
Beginning to wonder whether Trumpy is reading my blog. He seems to be saying many things I have been writing. Whatever. Perhaps I am a ultra-right individual? But let’s be fair, the Prez is doing rather than just talking. We may argue about International Law until the pips squeek, the reality is, there is no International Law except in the woolly minds of daft politicians. Humanity has never learned the lessons meted out from history, we continually make the same mistakes over and over again. This is rooted in our make-up, our natural instincts. It is something we continually disregard. Look at these two politicians (although I smile ruefully when I say politicians) Trump and Starmer. You would not see two more diverging minds. One thinks he is Napoleon and the other thinks he is the greatest economist the world has seen. Of course, one can be belligerent having the greatest number of weapons on side as well as a sizeable army, navy and airforce. Whilst the other has squandered his nation’s cash pile and still continues to do so. Ask anyone who they would prefer, Trump or Starmer? I think the answer would be very clear. In any case British politics presently is akin to a pantomime. A laugh a minute. Jokers like Zack and cohort come out with side splitting one liners, Shabana wishes that all boys become girls and poor Ed cannot remember which party he belongs to.
The funniest thing is , we pay for that! I always thought we pay our taxes to make our lives a bit better. Safe, prosperous, contented, looking after our families. Making sure our children would be upstanding citizens. Instead we have allowed a crime-ridden, poverty ridden nation to exist. What’s more in such a state we have become a – ‘me first’ society. A direct result of the government’s policies. Indeed, not just Labour’s, basically all are guilty. It seems to stem from the idea that humanity is basically a calm, peace loving animal. Quietly moving around the ground, grazing here and there, hiding away in dark caves, mumbling incoherently about this glaring thing in the sky. If you don’t believe me, ask Zack Polanski what he thinks, or on second thoughts you better not if you want to stay sane. Yup, that’s our politics for you.
Saying we don’t learn from history is not just a flippant remark, we do not learn from history. We have never learned how to deal with the human mindset. How unpredictable it is, Trump being an example. Another one from recent history, Hitler and look how that turned out. Putin also, anyone recognising the similarities here? As just said, we do not learn from our mistakes. Despite those worthy political exclamations – “We will learn from our mistake, so that it will never happen again”! How many times have we heard that elephant in the room? Apparently all politicians have a thesaurus with short punchy sentences which they will drag out from time to time. The problem is they don’t understand the meaning, so you will get these words thrown at you and then being completely beside the point. Resulting in the eroding of trust. Well, there you go, just to say now at least Trump has put into action what he said he would do. Whether that is good or bad, historians in 2300AD will tell us.
