Arcane thought or yet perhaps.....interesting?

You ever had a thought that told you, I have been here before? Or, I have done this all before? Personally speaking, I have. But it set me thinking, is this all so strange? In a previous post it was mentioned that the universe is limitless and eternal. So, bearing in mind probability we have been doing our bits many times before. The point is, for what purpose? I suppose we are getting into the realm of faith. It is the question – What is this all about? What is the purpose of the universe. Christianity talks about God as eternal and good. But also about a bad bit and is not strange as if there is positive energy there has to be a negative counter. Otherwise the universe does not add up to 1, there has to be a balance. The question here is how does that energy work? I suppose I am a strange Christian as I do not get on with the Bible essays about creation, but I do think the energy portrayed by Jesus is good. Perhaps that is the point of it all. To make everything good. Some would say that might be the end of creation and pooooof the universe disappears to begin all over again. Or equally the same the other way around. Obviously, this is just a mind thinking aloud and moving fingers to type all of it. Fanciful? Well, it is the same with some of the theories that are splurged all over the Internet. Does anyone really have an idea? Anything at all? Basically they are all fanciful and worthy to look at and ponder. Did the BB happen? We don’t know, but it sounds awfully like the first paragraph in the Bible – Let there be Light. But no-one really knows as again pointing out that the universe is eternal and limitless, the Big Bang could only be one of many Big Bangs, all equally supporting each other as well as destroying each other. Also there are many universes within the limitless space. Prof Hoyle has always believed the universe was static. Well, I don’t think static is the correct word but within the idea of eternity static is pretty good. Now some will point out ‘Ah, but do you know about the red shift? Yes, I do so what? You actually mean this universe is one and the only one and expanding? Actually it is inflating. Space between matter is widening. It is not an equally occurring action but in the scheme of things, our universe is attracted by something. Or even moving in some sort of dance with other universes. The question also comes up, how then would you destroy a universe? Well, what would happen if you bring anti-matter in touch with ordinary matter? Energy! Remember, let there be light? The fun thing is the thinking can just get out of hand and looks totally implausible. But that is what they said to Einstein and a host of other learned bodies. If we pooh-pooh everything, we would still have been in the Ape stage, grunting and rooting for tubers. The other thing of importance to remember is that the time we experience means zilch in the scheme of things. It just depends how big you are (or how small). An ant will experience a lifetime in minutes. Whilst a giant tortoise laughs at our minuscule eighty or so years. The universe, our universe, counts its life possibly in trillions of years. Who knows. Some Earth faiths believe rocks have a life cycle, an interesting concept to be sure. Trees have a much longer lifespan than ours and surely can experience what we can as well but on a longer time scale? Pain and suffering is the same for all living things as well as happiness. It just depends on who and what you meet within your cycle. So, keep on pondering and maybe, just maybe in some other time someone will come up with the answers. Hurrah!
