Some pertinent questions - but .....
If anyone wants to know how shallow and bad politics in the UK really is, just listen to the verbal denials of items. Items such as pension repayments or rebates to women who lost out some time ago on decisions made by the government in power at that time. When the now Prime Minister Starmer was in opposition he was so happy to be photographed with ladies with that problem, saying how we would rectify ALL the wrongs of the Tory government. Well, we have now seen how far that goes. Absolutely nowhere. As has been mentioned many times before – you cannot trust a politician’s word. I think it is correct to say, we have elected a Labour government on false promises. It is also true to say that whatever they said and promised before the election has virtually melted like snow before daybreak! They would say that now they are in power the reality of the situation, the financial one, has become clear.
Sorry Labour people, you did not do any real work about finding out the true situation of anything at all. All of you that our now talking from the ministerial chairs just did not familiarise yourselves with the requirements, the knowledge that work like governing entails! You were happy to just blurb out what people wanted to hear, you indicated what you would do about it and how badly the then powers that be were treating you. Nice work but yes, indicative of how politics have become. Lovely shallow sound bites. In the meantime the whole nation, its infrastructure, its community spirit, has collapsed. Any enemy can just walk in, in fact already does. High ranking military minds have started warning us that in any future war we are completely vulnerable and would not last more than a few months.
This is how good our politicians are! Instead of protecting us they are busy destroying us all. Through shallowness, through being unprepared, to be more interested in personal advancement and party advantage. It is just unbelievable to hear about some of the things we now hear. Soundbite 1. We must build 1.5 million new houses. No indication as to where and how we are going to do that. Or even whether we are capable of doing that at all without destroying ecosystems. Soundbite 2. We will rectify the NHS. Again, no indication or plan as where, how and where the money is coming from. Soundbite 3. We will release councils from planning problems so that we free up land for houses and massive new win turbine complexes.
Wow, aren’t we just happy to have voted them into power. But hey, let’s look around the world and it is true, friends we are being governed by total blundering nincompoops, or in proper vernacular, ruddy idiots. Despite having hope that things can ‘Always get better’ whilst whistling a nice tune, I am afraid it’s a downward spiral.
And in all of the aforementioned I haven’t even said – EU! How did K S even think they would listen to him? The EU are only interested in getting the annual fee payment, fishing rights for every Tom, Dick and Harry and free movement of its young people plus citizen’s rights in the UK.
All I now need to say – have a happy Christmas everyone! And watch your gardens! If you see people in hi-viz measuring up, build a 24 foot high fence or get a few alsatians.
