New Year Musings

As I am a reader of Quora and know that 95% of it is absolute crap, somethings the remaining 5% show up some insight what is really going on. One of the those asked ‘Is Britain (the UK) on the brink of collapse? Now normally I would laugh at such a question but lately? No, I am not. Let’s have a look, are there indicators? Well, yes weak government as the article says ‘Complex, ineffective government systems’. I would go further and say simply, ‘The government has lost the plot’. The article also states ‘People have lost faith and question legitimacy in institutions’. That would be a recipe for insurrection or let’s just say ‘revolution’. It also stated there was ‘Inequality rising towards dangerous levels’. Yes indeed, that is very visible. Looking at Wales , Scotland and comparing that with London and environs, there is an unbelievable difference. What’s more most of those who support that situation are MP’s from the Home Counties. Even so, in the middle of all that excessive ‘wealth’ there is insurrection brought about by the self-same fools who call themselves MPs not controlling proper integration of those who need a better life and come from outside. Of course the majority come from Asian and African countries but some from poorer home backgrounds, ie Wales.

The youth in Wales cannot find work unless filling shelves in Tesco or wiping someone’s backside. Even those with a proper degree can be found in the superstores filling the shelves or are based on time limits filling trolleys to go out for delivery. That is the ‘economic miracle’ of Wales, you know. The English once again are desecrating our land building big solar panel farms and poisonous wind turbines. The story is different from the coal era but the results are exactly the same. The other thing very visible today is the building of substandard houses, one of the ideas of that ‘wonderful’, ‘knowledgeable’ set of ‘nunbskulls’ in good ol’ Westminster. The solution of the Immigration problem? Oh yes, simple, just build cheap housing. We have plenty of green belt land the Cons had set aside for wildlife and plant but who cares, bees and insects do not matter in the scheme of things do they? Will someone tell the wonders, they absolutely do?

The thing the article omitted to point out is that one of the signs the UK is collapsing besides overspending on social issues, is allowing the degradation of the environment. On this New Year’s Day I was doing a walk around after coming back from my daughter’s home celebrating the ending of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. We had a small glass of bubbly, yes unbelievably just one bottle was purchased- weren’t we good? And had late night chats with all the family across the world via WhatsApp because it’s basically free. Just as well because we can barely afford all the increases the Westminster wonders have decided to charge for their ‘Making Britain great again’ effort. But on the way back it was devastating to see the amount of rubbish that lies on the roadsides and on our New Year’s Day walk through the woods, even there tins, empty bottles, discarded Big M packaging and uncollected dog sh*t. Then back home the main road where I live was festooned with discarded Amazon packaging and Evri packaging left by its drivers who could not figure out who lived where and decided it had to be their Christmas bonus. Britain collapse? Yes, sir it is already happening and it will not be long before an enemy decided we are easy pickings. Ask Trump or Vance what NATO means?
