A bit more about how 'we' like working people!

“ Looking after working people”, a couple of words the good ol’ Keir likes to bandy about. Can someone tell our  promoted  bankteller Reeves as well? It seems she is in the old Labour mood of destroying the economy. This is not unexpected of course, every Labour government does the same. Although they usually are very good at telling what they intend to do, and unfortunately never do. I have started to think both the Yuppie college of Eton and the Woke University of Oxford teach a course of Obfuscation. So, come November we see the same old old, tax rises instead of grasping the social aid costs and slimming down the Civil Service. But both Keir and Rach just haven’t got the type of brain to do such a thing. Theirs is just wired for one thing, staying in power for as long as they can. Simply because they know they will be in the doldrums for decades after the next general election unless they are gone before that. They work to be remembered , except they will be remembered fo...

"I love working people, yawn"

One of those most wonderful sounding statements from politicians such as our knowledgeable PM is “ Making lives better for working people”. From where I am sitting that’s not very much then is it? The way our country is going and being governed there will be more and more people who are NOT working. One way or another, either being so-called “Unfit” or have the latest fad “Mentally unfit”. It doesn’t seem to bother them because loads more are in the waiting queue. We hear more and more of young people who just want to travel. Vietnam seems to be the place six-formers dream of. The funny thing is our PM seems to be totally unaware of this state of affairs. Or if he is, just closes his eyes and stops cotton wool in his ears. He just loves being on the world stage looking like a prat. He has no idea what is going on, he just carries the royal letter of invitation to come and watch Trooping the Colour. We are good at that. In any case the lives of working people is not getting better, it i...

Political suicide and down the Well of Obscurity...

How many times has it been said that some politicians are shysters, or at worst criminals? It seems the human preponderance for liking money and power outweigh anything else. To get to the top come what may is the wet dream of many aspiring to what they believe is greatness. The biggest example of course is a certain American would-be politician. One of my most liked political correspondents or if you will journalist, is Trevor Kavanagh. His articles pull no punches. You might argue he is a rabid rightie but I think you’d be wrong. As he indicated in this Saturday’s article in the Sun newspaper, “Our Ang knew what she was doing, furthermore Keir did as well and knowing full well what she had done still ‘supported’ her”. When everyone else knew the writing was on the wall. Keir’s political acumen is not great, but for Pete’s sake he is a Human Rights lawyer, a barrister no less. What does that say for the legal profession? If you don’t believe me, read this Wiki – Keir Starmer the Prime...

Do as I say, do not do as I do

This is probably the mantra all politicians have. There are plenty of examples of this, the latest being the furore about the (in)famous Ms Rayner’s liking for property. I suppose on its own there is nothing wrong with buying a house. If you haven’t got the money, just get a mortgage or a rich benefactor. For me the questions concerning her issue is simple. Two things spring to mind, '1. Taxes and 2. Where did the money come from'. Bearing in mind the lady is always happily mentioning her very poor upbringing. In my mind such situations tend to last a lifetime. Unless you do something about it. Obviously in her case she did,. She joined the Labour party. The Wiki says: She later trained in social care at Stockport College and worked for the local council as a care worker. She eventually became a trade union representative within Unison . Knowing for myself how difficult it is to raise your head above the parapet, one would have to applaud her for at least having done that. The ...

Are we a basket case? Well, you tell me...

So, Mrs ‘I am from a poor background’ Rayner has made herself a bit richer. Well, actually not really because she bought a nice seaside property for some hundreds of thousands which you and me can only dream of. Bear in mind who she is. She is the deputy PM. Basically just a mouth. By the looks of it not even engaged to her brain. I have always wondered how top politicians suddenly come into money? Sure, they don’t steal it, not necessary. The public purse is bottomless, they just find ways to pay themselves. If that doesn’t seem enough they just vote in a few ‘needed’ changes, such as ‘Summer payments’ or ‘Winter support payments’ or even just vote in stipend increases of anything up to 20%. Plus housing allowances, cost-of-living allowances and let’s not forget ‘Turning up payments’. Payments for turning up at Parliament, Constituency do's and Industrial visits. You will notice the names do not appear anywhere in public and I have just named them as I feel they should be called...

The human population moronic? I didn't say that...

Reading some of the blogs, Question and Answer sites like Quora, you quickly pick up that the human population consists of absolute morons. It is like everything else, the world is viewed through and by the emanations of a minority. Meaning of course when one says ‘the human population consists of absolute morons’, it is a poor expression but true in the sense of having just read a stream of nonsense. It may colour even your own views and that is the danger. We all know very well what we are doing to our planet. Some of us suffer enormously, just look at the rain falling in Pakistan. Even the monsoon is getting out of ha nd . Why? Because of the way all of us live our lives. So, yes ‘the human population consists of absolute morons’. In one of the Quora questions it was asked, ‘Why don’t we all, billions of us, lay down side by side on any and all roads, stopping everything’ . A serious question I would say but obviously totally improbable since even my own neighbours here where I liv...

Who's to blame? Anyone?

Being a big fan of the journalistic emanations of Ms Julia Hartley-Brewer I read her latest outpouring with a heavy heart. Not a truer word has been written. Her exposition of today’s state of the nation is an eye-opener of a magnitude equal to the nuclear arsenal of the United States. Her description of the way police now works, especially in our larger cities where gangs now operate with impunity and violence just to grab whatever they can from shops that are still open. As Julia said, but for how much longer? In my neck of the woods it happens on a smaller scale but it still does and as a result many shops have disappeared. It is a malaise of gigantic proportions and costs us all billions of pounds every year! I have asked myself, why I accept all of this happening. Am I perhaps part of the problem? By simply accepting the state of affairs and just blaming politicians. Sure, politicians must carry most of the blame by their general attitude. We may call it woke attitudes but that’...
