Musk, who is he? Oh, that one....

We seem to have a lot of foreign people interested in the UK. Politically speaking and some of them are pretty rich and have some clout. Take Elon Musk, a clever man, who is holding together a vast fortune as the ‘richest man’ in the world. But is he? Usually that wealth is measured in the companies owned. So, asset rich but cash poor. Anyhow, whatever . He sure does not hold back from attacking British politics. We should wonder about two things, both a positive and a negative one. The positive side here is, is he correct? The negative side is, he is wrong and a charlatan. Obviously, what he is saying has happened. Take the case of Rochdale child-grooming gangs. And not just there, others as well, Bristol for instance. Musk is blandly saying that Keir Starmer our PM has been lax, defunct in ensuring these men were prosecuted. Mr Starmer was the CPC (Crown Prosecutor Chief) at the time. That service has not been covered in glory, there are many things one could say about it. For instance we are still saddled by the issue of colour. Public servants and the service do not prosecute because of fear of being ‘racist’. One may ask what the term ‘Racist’ has to do with criminal activities? From a judicial point, a crime was committed and therefore must be prosecuted. In the case of Rochdale there were prosecutions and lengthy jail terms imposed. Well, so far so good but other cases, Oldham for instance where it appears the government has rejected calls for an enquiry. It actually indicated that an enquiry should be held by the local powers that be. So, again Musk is not quite correct. There is a problem in this country, there are, have been 50 or more places where a GB News led investigation found child gang rape gangs were or have been active. Not good news, obviously and some action needs to be taken but I would say that commentary from the likes of Musk needs to be taken at face value bearing in mind his desire to be active in American politics. And as we know there is plenty wrong over the pond! Perhaps it is high time someone told Mr Musk to have a look at his own country before pointing fingers somewhere else. Being a rich business man does not give you the right to start critising other countries and their leaders. Leave that to idiots like myself. I am busy enough doing that in the UK and frankly am sorry to have to do that as in a better world it would not be necessary. It is how it is and we must be able to cope with it and put things right. Although I must say, to put things right is long overdue. Despite lofty promises, we are still holding our collective breaths! So, Sir Starmer, please put a bit of beef behind the effort and get started! Promises are lovely but action is better!
