Deal, OK but what deal?

The various news bits coming out are getting worse by the day. It is beginning to really look like the latter part of the 30’s! The US although not disintegrating, it certainly is lying to the rest of the world. It seems the money men are now in charge or nearly so. Just look at that trumped up idiot Musk. Donating millions, yes MILLIONS to the Trump presidential campaign and as a reward where is he now? Getting his money back and a seat at the table with the steaks on it. He did not donate all that dosh because he likes giving his money away. The same for that Bezos fella. And the Zuckerman suddenly has withdrawn some important safeguards from his platforms. So, what is the US up to? I believe they have started thinking that as has already been said by others, there must be only three power blocks on the planet. The US, Russia and China. And that is why words like “Europe and Ukraine don’t really matter” come from. Actually I also believe that the US now thinks it is by far the MOST powerful. But I would say that this sort of thinking will eventually cost them dearly. Humans generally want to take down upstarts stirring the coffee. Usually beginning from within the system set-up. When the initial fear is weakened and too much money has been taken from the general population the problems will start. Just watch what will happen in the Russian nation. When you see pictures of the general population (not those from the two cities, Moscow and St Petersburg) you will see poverty and despair etched on all faces. Similarly in the dirty downtrodden cities of the US, riddled with drugs and crime. Nice? Well, Trump is more interested in his stature on the world stage and Vance is taking courses in how to be an obnoxious excuse for a politician. None of them have any idea what a politician’s responsibilities are. Would anyone say the US administration is looking after the security and well-being of its population? Again, this goes for any other nation as well. The truth is we are led by mostly old men who still believe they matter. Whilst they are at death’s door trying to put their names in the history books. Forgetting of course that the way they are performing there will be no history books or a planet.

But listen to a former ambassador to Russia, Prof McFaul who knows a bit about negotiating deals: In the first round of peace negotiations, Trump’s team made major concessions to Putin without securing anything for Ukraine in return, leading to widespread shock among Ukrainians and their European allies. This diplomatic misstep is seen as a failure to understand the dynamics of effective negotiation, as Trump’s team gave Putin what he wanted while imposing demands on Ukraine without offering any tangible benefits. Critics argue that this approach rewards imperialism and weakens U.S. and international standing, with some comparing it to the appeasement strategies of the 1938 Munich Agreement. The article suggests two possible reasons for this poor start: either Trump's team is inexperienced or Trump is more focused on cultivating ties with Putin than achieving a fair and lasting peace deal.

Precisely what I have been saying before, we have gone back to the latter part of the 30’s and look what we ended up with.
