All well with the world? Really...?

All is well with the world, Glastonbury is happening! The BBC is cock-a-hoop, let’s interview all the weirdos. Yep, it’s the old old story, we dance as the world around us is collapsing. We dance to forget all the rubbish, simply because we cannot do anything about it, or we are just simply too lazy or stupid. Probably the last word. Why worry, the government doesn’t. Politicians are only interested in their own jobs and even at that they are miserably failing. How long have we had to endure the infernal boats? The ever increasing dinghies? Now full of state-sponsored criminals, rapists, and other odious persons. State-sponsored by even worse criminal organisations such as the Russian state. And some of us in high office are applauding. Why are we wondering some people are so fed up they take up a weapon and start banging on the drums leaving death in their wake? All of this just shows how powerless we have become. Once we ran over half the planet, now we are just shivering half-wits, interested only in fornicating on a wet, grassy sward somewhere listening to some banal sounds they call music, done by persons who failed their GCSE’s.

Almost anything you see in Britain is either collapsing or in the process of disintegrating. Building one railway today is virtually bankrupting the nation. How we managed to build those in Victorian times all over the place, is beyond my limited understanding. But then again, I know nothing about railways except I like Maglev and building a windmill to empty a lake or two. Yes, I am of Dutch extraction. So, where are we now? Well, I am afraid we have to live with the Labour party for a while longer. Not that I would look forward to a new Conservative period either. We may ask why we end up with governments like those we have seen over the past few decades? Starting off with all promises of a golden land, a golden future where the sun shines on the righteous? Then collapsing in a heap of squabbling idiots fighting for whatever they can get hold of. It makes me wonder how people see a nation, what it should be, how it should work. Is having a free health organisation like the NHS a good idea? Can it be effective? Is it right to have a nation full of people who feel it is not their job to work? Is it right to foul our own nest?

Very difficult questions, because I too feel that everyone should have the same chances in life. Looking at life on the planet we can see we have to work to stay alive. Looking for food, for shelter. Animals just roam around to find the best place, then move somewhere else if either of the two or both runs out or becomes unsustainable. Humans used to do as well but now with 8billion strong can do so only in few places. The rest is urbanised. Thus having to work at tasks to maintain or improve that situation. Meaning to find a niche, a job. We were clever enough to find ways of transferring surpluses to others who had a shortage and quickly found ways for it being rewarded. It should have worked well but one of humanities ills came to plague us, greed. You need power over others to be able to satisfy it. We tread the bottom rung and now are half-way up. The top rung of the ladder has one word stapled on it – GOODBYE.
