Arm ourselves, the Russians are coming... I think.

Viewing the deteriorating world situation coupled with the meekly calls by European leaders to ‘de-escalate’, which both Israel and Iran will not adhere to but will increase escalation. You only have to listen to the rhetoric from Iran and the responses from Israel. It is time to declare I am signing up for joining a possible Homeguard. I am too old now to join the Army proper but I have had military training. Having been on national service in an European Army, just across the water. We need to be on our guard, also because of the increased sword rattling by the Russians. Coupled with the idiotic US present policy making and attitude, is a wake-up call of some size. It is strange that after so much time of humans being on the planet in some numbers we are ending up like this, fighting and this time it might spell the end of us. The old research about why increased numbers end up fighting each other seems to be absolutely true. In fact I believe it is genetically inbred. That rat/mice experiment was dismissed as some fluke but it seems to be the reality. As numbers of a species rise and suitable space runs out or gets in short supply, food production drops, diseases start then fights erupt. Exactly as we now see today.

Talking about immigration and emigration you will see quickly where the problems lie and where they are growing. Obviously, the poorer parts of the world now wants to get to those lands where they have been told the streets are paved with gold. In fact they are not far from the truth. It might not be gold but in the UK there is an overtly generous social system which has been abused ever since it was set up. Various weak governments, both Conservative and Labour but especially Labour, have been weak in asserting control through vigorous checks. It is no wonder that some of the northern Scandinavian countries are beginning to call a halt to illegal immigration. No papers, no passport, out you go, back to where you came from.

 OK, enough about that, the point though is valid. In the mean time the western world being guilty of fouling its nest now needs to rectify that. Combatting global warming is an absolute must if we want to have a reasonable future on the planet. At the same time we need to combat authoritarianism. Particularly the land grabbing antics of the Russian empire. I am not sure as to why our leaders cannot seem to grasp it. It is time to face reality, we have been so stupid to pay billions for social ideas that instead of having made us healthier have made us sicker and weaker. As I said before, this has been a case of criminal failure, year after year. Because of it we lifted our eyes up to heaven and thought all was well, we looked at Trooping the Colour and thought, wow look at our soldiers, marching perfectly to the sound of the drum. What we forget is that these are the soldiers we have, there are no others. There are other soldiers but those are officers and pen-pushers, they do not fight. Ah you say, we have submarines with nuclear warheads, sure but how many are operational at any time and are there sufficient personnel back-ups? These are all questions that need answering quickly, no prevaricating, no delays. So, Labour chappies, stop the rot, get off your rostrum, stop talking and do something for a change.
