Revolution in the Labour Party? Well....
If you want to know the state of British politics and political decision-making you could do no better than reading an article by Julia Hartley-Brewer. To sum it up in a single sentence – If we cannot stop the boats, how could we stop the Russian Army? Correct. Despite Starmer glorifying the so-called Review of Defence spending, the recent calamity of the umpteenth U-turn shows a different situation. The nation is completely submerging itself in a debt of gigantic proportions because it just cannot get to grips with the sickness culture. In particular the so-called ‘Mental Health crisis’. If you want to travel rather than work the only thing you need to do is devising a mental state where you can begin to claim as many benefits as possible. And off you go. Quite the thing to do now for the under-30 age group. It shows that although the Conservatives left an absolute shambles, Labour has just made it even worse. How you can make a shambles more of a shambles defeats me but hey we are talking Labour here! Anything that can go wrong, with Labour always goes more wrong. That says a lot doesn’t it?
It shows in the ‘rebellion’ of the past week when over 100 Labour MPs forced Starmer to ‘change’ the policy he had proudly boasted about, to re-design PIP (Personal Independence Payments). Now, obviously the real disabled persons, missing legs, arms, or those with severe disabling illnesses need these payments but due to the inability of the government to weed out those who claim unfairly and those who are after an easy life at the expense of others who are hard-working and pay taxes, we are saddled with Labour’s incompetence. It is now certain that taxes will be raised again! It is the easy but totally unfair solution to the problems of the government’s own making. Where those taxes are raised from remains to be seen but I think petrol/diesel will be foremost in the queue. Even VAT will not be safe. The end result will just be as it always has been, higher living costs, higher inflation and probably many more trying to get onto the ladder of free living.
How our government thinks it is good and right to allow all these wastes of money, including the costs of the boat immigrants, is beyond my understanding. Have we, the people of Britain, a suicidal tendency? Has the government? It ought to be said that there is a border somewhere. A border in the future when reached and passed revolution will follow. I for one hope that more better brains will come to the fore instead of us having to live with the half-baked ideas of failed barristers and self-made financial wizards in the Chancellor seat. As an interested guy, what happened to that black hole? Exploded yet? Formed a new Universe perhaps?
