Pertinent questions? Maybe....

The whole political world has gone utterly and completely insane! Personally I have never held politicians in high esteem. I believe that most are complete off the mark. I don’t doubt they start with the idea ‘To help people across the board’ but somewhere along the path things change. Take that wonderful example of a politician with an elevated level of intelligence, in fact the level beyond comprehension, Mr Ed Miliband. Well, at least his degrees are not in Home Economics and Cooking. But by all accounts he does cook a mean bit of bacon. But back to the point, he now believes he is the world’s champion of Climate Control. More so in that Britain’s proposed ‘Boiler Tax’ will change the world’s climate for the better almost immediately! Yes, it is a plan again thought up whilst sitting at breakfast eating a bacon sarnie (I must add without a camera in sight!). Brilliant thinking, one would have thought it might have been better to convince countries like the US, China, India, Pakistan etc to take some responsibility for their enormous outpourings of atmosphere damaging gases like CO2 but no he thought Britain can do it all by herself. Friends, keep on asking what happened to the promises of ‘We are going to look after all the people, we will fix (Yes, FIX) the foundations of the nation after the mess we have inherited’. Well, it seems a brilliant way to fix things, not.

Next there is the old-age Labour problem of fence-sitting. Although to be fair most politicians today are pretty adept at it. But now we seem to have lost our marbles. Despite all these wonderful promises about ‘We know what we are doing’, it does turn out no-one in this new Labour government knows what they are doing. They don’t even know what they should be doing. So, they follow the ICC ruling that the Israeli PM is a criminal. Instead of calling this ludicrous, ludicrous because of why Israel is in the situation it finds itself in, they absolutely refuse to condemn the ICC. As a result we are in danger of fouling the very good relations between us and the United States. Nice job Starmer, stop listening to that virtue signalling Foreign Secretary and retire him as fast as you can.

The other thing that amazes me is the continuing posturing of the Russian hierarchy. There is not a day goes by when some eminent Russian politician burbles on about how they want to smash up everything else, including Britain because we had the temerity to supply some weapons to a country they attacked and invaded. At least, Starmer our world trotting leader has the balls (hopefully) to call it as it is, they need help, weapons and everything else, and according to him we are prepared to help. Although I would not hold my breath as we are here very good at sound bites. To the man in the street (yes, man here meaning every person, LBGT+ included just in case someone wants to complain), the problem is quite simple. A country attacked another country. That attacking country tries everything militarily and politically to gain a victory. The victory however through ineptitude, corruption and more seems very hard if not impossible to attain. Hence, they have pressed another country to supply weapons and soldiers. But at the same time through political machinations have forbidden the same action to the attacked country! The fact we have arrived back in time, to 1938/9 when Hitler did the same thing has not escaped most of us. Perhaps we should ask Putin whether he has read ‘Mein Kampf’.
