The world is a funny place, but is it?

Politicians funny? They sure are, at least in America. The prospective Republican Vice President, I say prospective because the election hasn’t happened yet. He said he believed the UK to be the first Islamist country to hold nuclear weapons. Funny? Well, it depends how you look at it. I am not a white supremacist but let’s be brutally honest we have too many Islamic fundamentalists now in our country and over there. And they are still coming. It is because we still elect politicians who have a warped view of society. They think everybody that comes has the best intentions to work hard and make a success of themselves. Sure, a minority do but the far greater majority does not. They do not assimilate or integrate and in the end become a liability we can do nothing about. Even those that get elected to serve the various devolved governments do seem to have a warped view.

It is the ‘western’ problem. We tend to think everybody is like us, should be like us but let me say this straight away, they are not!

The Middle Eastern people, mostly Muslims, have a totally different view of world order and social structure than we have. This is the problem when they come over to western countries. They cannot easily shed that skin.

It must be said, politics has become very aggressive, most likely thanks to the Internet. We still have not learned how to properly control that. Those that have a vested interest keep on talking about ‘Free Speech’ but even that comes with certain responsibilities.

Judgment matters. We should be able to expect those who lead us to measure their words and their criticism, even at the risk of disappointing their audiences. Some things are more important than personal media profiles. (the Telegraph).

Now the UK have finally got rid of a party that has lost its way completely. I have indicated before any government should relinquish power after two sessions, so 10 years. That is to say the people, not the party. If say Conservatives had been in power after two 5 year terms they would be forced to change the person’s that led the government. It sounds a bit iffy and one could well ask, how we would do that? But looking at the previous two, three years what is better?

The other thing I would say to political parties is STOP promising things. These are mostly pie in the sky and will never materialise. Secondly, get people with the right qualifications and if possible with the right experience. It could be said it is difficult to do that. Right experience, where are those guys and gals? Well, force a one year education regime for any prospective candidate. Serving your country should not mean you can pursue just your own views, or wishes.

Anyway, we will see what the new Labour government will be like soon enough. I hope they will not fail, because we, the great citizens of this country, deserve better.
