One of those most wonderful sounding statements from politicians such as our knowledgeable PM is “ Making lives better for working people”. From where I am sitting that’s not very much then is it? The way our country is going and being governed there will be more and more people who are NOT working. One way or another, either being so-called “Unfit” or have the latest fad “Mentally unfit”. It doesn’t seem to bother them because loads more are in the waiting queue. We hear more and more of young people who just want to travel. Vietnam seems to be the place six-formers dream of. How many times has it been said that some politicians are shysters, or at worst criminals? It seems the human preponderance for liking money and power outweigh anything else. To get to the top come what may is the wet dream of many aspiring to what they believe is greatness. The biggest example of course is a certain American would-be politician. One of my most liked political correspondents or if you will journalist, is Trevor Kavanagh. His articles pull no punches. You might argue he is a rabid rightie but I think you’d be wrong. This is probably the mantra all politicians have. There are plenty of examples of this, the latest being the furore about the (in)famous Ms Rayner’s liking for property. I suppose on its own there is nothing wrong with buying a house. If you haven’t got the money, just get a mortgage or a rich benefactor. For me the questions concerning her issue is simple. Two things spring to mind, '1. Taxes and 2. Where did the money come from'. Bearing in mind the lady is always happily mentioning her very poor upbringing. So, Mrs ‘I am from a poor background’ Rayner has made herself a bit richer. Well, actually not really because she bought a nice seaside property for some hundreds of thousands which you and me can only dream of. Bear in mind who she is. She is the deputy PM. The public purse is bottomless, they just find ways to pay themselves. If that doesn’t seem enough they just vote in a few ‘needed’ changes, such as ‘Summer payments’ or ‘Winter support payments’ or even just vote in stipend increases of anything up to 20%. Reading some of the blogs, Question and Answer sites like Quora, you quickly pick up that the human population consists of absolute morons. It is like everything else, the world is viewed through and by the emanations of a minority. Being a big fan of the journalistic emanations of Ms Julia Hartley-Brewer I read her latest outpouring with a heavy heart. Not a truer word has been written. Her exposition of today’s state of the nation is an eye-opener of a magnitude equal to the nuclear arsenal of the United States. Her description of the way police now works, especially in our larger cities where gangs now operate with impunity and violence just to grab whatever they can from shops that are still open. As Julia said, but for how much longer? In my neck of the woods it happens on a smaller scale but it still does and as a result many shops have disappeared.
