Good government? Eh...
One question everyone should ask – Has the present type of politics improved the country? Eh... well, let’s have a look. The multicultural idea – did that improve the country? Eh… The gender ideas, did these improve the country? Eh… The taxation ideas then, did they improve the country, Eh… Blimey did any of these well publicised new ways of thinking improve the country? How about the Open Door policies of Labour then? That should have improved the country? Eh… Well good heavens, has anything at all improved the country? Eh… Oh dear, how is that then. Who is to blame? Eh…. Friends, the real truth is and you could argue about it for hours and still not find an answer. Except to say, we are all to blame. First and foremost there is something wrong with our politics. Yes, I know we are proud of our two main party politics but is that really true? The main argument seems to be, at least on the streets that a Coalition type government is no good. Nothing can ever be done or agreed. Well, any different today then? Even worse, today the main part of the governing party the Parliamentary party and its head, The Cabinet decide on policy and resultant laws but here is the question Can they make them stick. Can they ensure productivity? It seems generally speaking viewing the U-Turns that there is a problem. How is that though? Ideology?
Or Unpreparedness or both? Or even sheer misunderstanding what government is about? Let’s take the idea of Open Borders. Apparently the then ruling party viewed the declining birth rate of the White people (sorry, no racism intended) in such a way, worrying about why we cannot get more nurses, or more people to clean the sewers and others, so it was felt to get more people from abroad. The lovely chaps and chapesses from Jamaica came and proved better workers than white people. At least the white people in this country. Then Pakistan and India emptied their undesirables and we got more nurses. So far so good, and then someone abroad had the idea, we can speed this up a bit, got some help from the usual get rich quick chaps around us here and the boats started to appear. Dinghies, you name it. Then our blessed government who were debating at the time whether it was OK to say they would stop the boats and at the same time instruct the Border Force to bring them into Dover port, were rather surprised the resentment of the ‘white’ people started to boil over.
Well, the question hinges on what government should be all about. I would say government should be about improvement of the resident population. It should be about fair and proper taxation. There is no question whether we agree or disagree about taxation. If we want good defence, proper working infrastructure then taxation is a given. It should also be about good integration, so that a country’s people can work together to the benefit of all, Old and Young. Perhaps there is much more but this will do for now. And frankly this is why our governments are mostly experiencing problems. Simply because they don’t seem to understand the principles. Sure, there will always be disagreements. But these should be about the way forward, and should never be about the Status Quo! To hear words from the main leader about “We are working for working people” and then do things, make laws that are doing the opposite. What do they expect? Love and kisses? Anyway, I think I’d rather move to Rockall before I kiss Starmer. Besides, he purses his lips in the wrong way. Ask his wife.
