Ungovernable? No sir, just duds who rule...

Reading he good Julia Hartley-Brewer’s penned effort in the Sun newspaper this morning, made me applaud. She has a knack of putting it just the way it is. She was talking about Britain being ‘ungovernable’. And as she said , no- it is not. The reason, and I totally agree, is that we’ve had mediocre duds as Prime Minister. Just have a proper look at the list, Lizzie Truss? I am sitting down with a cool bandage over my head. Boris? He only governed in between abseiling exercises, unfortunately he couldn’t remember what he was supposed to do. Sunak? Not too bad if he only remembered where his loyalties were. The irascible Ms May? Who was that again? Anyone remember her? No? Cameron then, anyone? Ah yes, are we in or out of the EU or should we belong to the United Kingdom. But first can anyone tell him what the United Kingdom is? Please? Well, like the good Julia, it is easy to despair, as I have also said many times, how in all honesty have we sunk so low? That we cannot have a man or woman who can properly lead, who has at least some idea what they want, and have the means to do it before issuing millions of bonds. But like always all we hear is that it is not the politicians fault because we the voters want too much. As Julia pointed out, they think it is OUR fault! I too have said before, it is the way politicians project. How they speak, how they say things that we all know are poppycock! Sometimes it seems they all went to the same primary school and stayed there. However, the sad truth is that there is value in saying that yes, WE are responsible for how the world is.

At the same time it can be said that there is little idea or animo from politicians to develop proper laws or rules to combat the wrongs. Weak judiciary, money-chasing lawyers, a police force that following gender laws, all seem more interested in watching what happens on the web, social media watchers I call it. It is rare to see uniformed officers walking the beat. There are a host of other social wrongs with little chance of being dealt with. When people talk of moan about the world warming, sure it happens, it IS happening but why? There are conflicting ideas but it seems on the whole it is our unbridled consumption of fossil fuels. We may tinker with all sorts of things, call it biofuels whatever but it still puts extraordinary amounts of CO2 and other gases into the air. One only needs to think about the number of petrol and diesel cars on the road and the planes flying overhead. Do any of the people jumping up and down to get to Spain or somewhere else in the Mediterranean area think about their carbon footprint? No, I didn’t think so either. So, yes as a society we ARE responsible for many of the ills of the planet. But it will not, even if we address that issue, increase the quality of the worthy MP class of people. Because those who are the woke liberal type bring their attitudes with them. The problem with that is if there are too many like that in the hallowed halls of power you can see the problem we have today. The worthwhile MPs trying to change society in their own image and beliefs rather than improve the living standards of the nation a s a whole. As Julia did show, is this attributable to the PM? Well, a good question. I think it would definitely improve if the PM was 100% knowledgeable about the ills of the country and had a plan to work to. No, stupid sentences that don’t mean anything but hard facts and how in his or her opinion we will overcome!
