Great idea Starmer, let's ban social media...

Great stuff, aren’t we happy that our wonderful knowledgeable PM Starmer has declared his unwavering support for children? May I ask, does he know what children actually are? Dolls? Maybe something else, chimpanzees? Here we are again, the cameras are rolling, a bevy of MPs stand around smiling at the side and back of the PM, much like you see Trump doing when he signs those idiotic pieces of card, and starts opening mouth. Unfortunately what tends to come out, is so unhinged, badly spoken and even worse we know he is lying! How that man can do this is beyond me. I am sure he has had an education, he knows what is right and what is wrong. He knows what can be done and how it ought to be done. Yet he stands there uttering the most inane idiot plans which have zero chance of working. Not only that, plans that are designed to be kicked about the mulberry bush. So, yesterday we had to listen to this wonderful verbal emanation of how he cares about ‘our childre...

An acidic look at the state of affairs....

Wow, great news! The sun is back. After a scorching week a short while ago we had what I would term some heavy Scottish mist ( light rain) which was propelled forward by some strong winds. Not only that but it continued for days and nights on end. Lovely we need the rain, Welsh Water said and upped the bills as a joyous statement of intent. On top of that I was told to boil the water before making my coffee or I would die. So, not bad then. As it was the local Tesco sold some lovely English sparkling water and I am still alive. Now it is a Sunday and listening to the always uplifting news reports I learned that the by-election to get Andy (our Saviour) Burnham elected as the next PM is a given as Reform and Restore are at each other’s throats. The good Rupert wants to decapitate Nigel and Nigel wants his friend Trump to deport Rupert to Alcatraz and throw away the key. Interesting times eh? And oh yeah talking about Andy, would he make any difference? You bet he ...

Anyone for the job of Defence Secretary. There is no queue...

The fact that the UK is basically not an island any more seems to have escaped the worthwhile MP’s and in fact the whole government. Yes, I can see the sea around us as well. But drones do not! The problem is a simple one, today’s wars are fought more and more by robots. Drones today, walking robots, or just moving robots, tomorrow. On top of that the speed at which they go and are developed ensures we must think about defence right now! When you look around to see what can be a problem such as Ukraine experiences with drones carrying explosives, the power infrastructure is being destroyed piece by piece. In the UK the power structure is above ground for everyone to see. One cannot miss the straggling power lines marching all over the country. The power stations that generate the electricity are even signposted on the atlases. Just type for the Google maps on your mobile. Just type Hinkley and it pops up with a nice picture and a small map to show Putin where ...

Prime Minister's Questions? It's just a self-congratulatory show

What a show this PMQs is , Prime Minister’s Questions? My foot, it is just an almighty congratulatory show. But what was more interesting watching the talk afterwards with Henry Zeffman and some finance MP’s. It did also show the government’s disarray in the question of how to finance the Defence requirements. The Strategic Defence Review is now so overdue it might as well be shelved altogether as the situations in the world have changed considerably. The other mentioning by the Treasury spokesman was the possibility of raising taxes. As he said we need to go to the country and find out what people want. Excuse me? Who did we vote for to sort these things out? This point was not really taken up but frankly it seems to me they have completely lost the plot. They are at loggerheads, hundreds of MPs want more social services. More people on benefits and they just don’t care whether that cost comes at the Defence budget or any other budget. You hear about all the ...

A rather off-beat look on sex?

Whoopsidoopsie, another celebrity facing a twenty year old grievance. Touching another person, probably a woman, sexually? Wow, stone the crows. Really? Open zip showing the naughty innards? Adjusting a lady’s bra straps? OK, a woman came forward telling everyone for years how she felt violated by this horrible man. Twenty years? Good Lord, a long time to keep your mouth shut I’d say. Let me say first and foremost I don’t agree with wokery. I also don’t agree with these sexual actions. It is stupid, silly and dehumanises people, it can leave those who had to endure it in a bad way. Racism also, and tell me exactly what that is? Bearing in mind I believe humanity is one animal, so there are no races. So, this lady has now decided to complain. Why not, it gets you in the spotlight once more., rightly or wrongly. The problem is things happened in the past which were, let’s say, condoned or approved even. People like rock musicians mostly had women throwing t...

Good government? Eh...

One question everyone should ask – Has the present type of politics improved the country? Eh... well, let’s have a look. The multicultural idea – did that improve the country? Eh… The gender ideas, did these improve the country? Eh… The taxation ideas then, did they improve the country, Eh… Blimey did any of these well publicised new ways of thinking improve the country? How about the Open Door policies of Labour then? That should have improved the country? Eh… Well good heavens, has anything at all improved the country? Eh… Oh dear, how is that then. Who is to blame? Eh…. Friends, the real truth is and you could argue about it for hours and still not find an answer. Except to say, we are all to blame. First and foremost there is something wrong with our politics. Yes, I know they say we are proud of our two main party politics but is that really true? The main argument seems to be, at least on the streets that a Coalition type government is no good. Nothi...

Are you perturbed? Yeah, thanks to Social Media.... Get a life!

Why are we, western people, so perturbed about Israel? Is it that they are only looking at the biased TV reporting from both sides and making their minds up about what is happening today? A good question then would be, were they all asleep? In my younger days, no-one seemed to worry about Israel or indeed about Russia or China and Trump was only a screaming kid in his mother’s bosom trying to find a teat to suck. A thing he probably has never forgotten and dreams about day and night. Why not. It is a natural thing, so the experts tell us. But yes Israel, in the UK now we have loads of people mostly imported who have waken up about the happenings on the ground in the Middle-East’s eastern seaboard. Bit late wouldn’t you say? There has been a problem there ever since the Muslims started thinking they would conquer the world. Nice idea, many have tried. History tells us it usually is an absolute failure. Now it has to be understood that there are problems of...

Freebies? Yes, just knock my door....

More and more are we all aware that somehow we vote into Office people who are basically dishonest, have the idea ‘I take out whatever I can because I only have four or five years’ amongst other interesting ideas about how to enrich themselves. Again, it must be said it is not all who do, but unfortunately it is still too many who do. More so, when caught out they invariably say things like, “My mother-in-law hated me, and ‘I couldn’t cope so I wasn’t sure what I was doing’, ‘My mental health suffered because my son started masturbating’ or interesting other excuses. But of course, when you become the CEO of a political party with loads of lolly coming in freely and mostly without much of a record, it is pretty easy to start thinking, ‘Hey, I’ll put this 1000 quid in petty cash’. Forgetting of course the petty cash tin is in the drawer of the desk at home. It is a fact that those in Office do get approached with gifts, disguised as a ‘Thank you’ but in reality...

Artificial What? Oh Insemination? NO...Intelligence

The question today everybody is asking – What will AI do for me? Well, as far as I can see it, nothing. Unless you’re talking about Artificial Insemination. In which case if successful will give you years of problems and sleepless nights. But if we are talking about Artificial Intelligence then yes, it could do something worthwhile. It is like most human inventions, there is a good side and a bad side. In other words, can be used for good or bad. The present fear is that AI itself could be used like that. I, as a person use AI, it helps giving me some interesting points to develop writing a novel. If you’re an investor then it can show ways to work that could be profitable. It designs, it draws. But it should always be remembered that AI is no more than the knowledge humans have committed to the wider world. Written or recorded. A humongous database. Using data it could perhaps find ways to multiple gates instead of just one. But on its own it could never thin...

How did the vote go? Who knows...

What can we say about this latest joke? The many Councils elections across the UK? Well, in reality nothing much. Yes, councils will alter in political set-up but the country is still led by, as I read some political commentator name the PM, Mr Snoozefest. The danger is Mr Snoozefest will be forced to wake up to dance to the tune of people we have never heard of. Perhaps even Putin. I say this because now it is almost certain the party of Labour incompetents will now move to the far left of the political spectrum. So, hold your hats on for more immigrants, more benefits for the lazy, more university courses for Mickey Mouse degrees which will lead to nowhere. And even more worrying, more ‘Gaza’ protests.      We may rightfully ask where have all these wonderful promises gone to? Were they just mere lies to get us to vote Labour? Remember – ‘Country first, party second’ from Mr Snoozefest? Spoken by a lawyer? Someone who would knows the diffe...

Is multiculturalism a 'normal' human lifestyle?

More and more people are beginning to ask – What is multiculturalism? From where I am sitting I think it means to accept all cultures. That is to say, whatever is on the planet and wherever it comes from. So, various degrees of Christianity, various degrees of the Muslim faith, Buddhists, Zionists, Atheists, Lesbians, Homosexuals, Heteros (any left?), and anything in between. The problem though is do any of those actually accept or even agree with each other? The problem with people is this, wherever they may go in the world, they’ll want their own lifestyle. So, loads of Muslims want to live in the same sh*t they come from. Simply, because they are used to it. It is giving a sense of safety. Frankly, the British were exactly the same. Visualise India and other places where the British landed. I don’t need to go into details, we already know them as the Raj. The British brought with them London, except they were unable to construct a new Big Ben. The Dutch, F...

Intelligent people? Where are they now... the Moon?

People like myself look around and wonder where all the intelligent people have gone to. Did we make a mistake? Have they already emigrated to the moon? Has Elon Musk been lying to us? How many rockets has he actually built? Leaving imbecilic people behind? Walking around our once prosperous nation you can see decay all around. It is not bad, to the tune of everyone sleeping in doorways but there is noticeable a distinct degradation of the environment. The carelessness that young people display. The quality of the air we need to breathe. The way developers have gone on using green belt land allowed by uneducated, uncaring public servants. The way elected dwarves keep telling the rest of us how hard they work and need a ten percent rise in earnings. Worse, if they cannot get that reduce the amount earmarked for environmental upkeep. The way they judge allocation of resources. Resources like housing, and social assistance. So, yes, things are not so bad. Eve...

Problem in the Middle-East? Not really, just a jolly....

Anyone figured out yet how this Iranian debacle started and how it sort of ended? It sure was quite the jolly wasn’t it? Did no-one in America, ever think of possible outcomes? Why did the armed forces not object to the half-cooked plans of the POTUS and his incredible administration or at least put in some reasonable alternatives? Although it should have been obvious that the Iranians were in a stronger position than Trump thought. It’s OK to sound upbeat but not as unhinged and iffy as it was. Whatever comes out of his mouth no-one with a bit of a brain will ever understand it. OK, so NATO, he doesn’t want to be a member of it anymore. Fine, it is something I said right at the beginning. When he started sounding off. About Greenland and messing Ukraine about. It was obvious. Just wondering why the esteemed ‘clever’ lawyer Starmer or Rutte didn’t. And if they did why play such a stupid idiot game of ‘Let me kiss your feet”. It sure shows the level of qual...

A funny look at the top, could it be true? Hmmm...

It is is somewhat funny to watch things going on politically. The hilarious outbursts of a certain president known as POTUS. I am not sure exactly what it is signifying. It could be POT US. In other words pot the Americans. Interesting. Well, truth is, it is not really funny the way things are going, does any politician think about the possible results of their outbursts or actions? We may well ask. The Iran jolly is taking longer and is more costly the US simpletons thought. Just wondering how the American ordinary Joe thinks about having to pay billions of dollars for the jolly which could have gone on to pay for better healthcare. But the weapons industry doesn't feel the same, they’re happy. Perhaps it was the idea all along. Still, not bad for a man who got elected on not going to put the country in foreign wars or something like it.      On the other hand we have here in good ‘ol Blighty a man who loves burbling on about what he is go...

What is good government? You may well ask...

Sometimes one reads some very interesting stuff. Like articles from SciTechDaily. This one – When Good Governments Go Bad: History Shows That Societies Collapse When Leaders Undermine Social Contracts.      The title alone is very interesting and you could surmise easily the reason why that happens. When leaders, let’s take two examples, Starmer and Trump from the western sphere of political ‘democracies’, forsake core principles. Now, we might argue over what core principles would be but the most important I believe to be the equal sharing of wealth. Another would be services provided to be fair to all. It is something that has bothered me and thousands of others for quite some time because quite evidently the two principles mentioned have not been working. It probably is the reason why there is so much unrest in our societies. Certainly in Britain the undercurrent is gaining momentum whilst in the States it is beginning. Just listen to news ...

An Opinion of Society?

The question of what Britain has become is shown in the name I have just used. The word Great has disappeared. We are no more than just a small European nation that still pretends it has an empire. Except no-one in the real world knows exactly what it was. Even if some small minority groups feels the urge to protest about slavery we had been busy with, forgetting the whole world was busy with it, and want to pay reparations for actions our forefathers thought was just business, not a single person thinks that you cannot change history. At the same time they will not learn from history so that old mistakes are not being made again. Something which is noticeable throughout the world. Humanity does not learn from previous historical mistakes.      It seems that due to hardships such as going through two world wars and previous ones like Waterloo as well, the present stream of most western politicians reflect an attitude that wrongly wants to ch...

Are we on the right track? You bet...you lose.

OK, so the UK is slow, perhaps listening to what our valued PM says, is a coward? So, it’s OK to have bases all over the world, Chagos, Cyprus, wherever but when it comes to planning their defence, ah we don’t have the money now. We just pay Child Benefit for every child under sixteen. Lovely. Oh, and since the worthy Unions have decided that we only work from 9 to 5 in the marine shipyard because we do not want to miss our tea, the frigate we have still floating must be restocked with weapons we still have to buy, the boat cannot leave here for another 2 years.      It wouldn’t be fair to just blame the present Labour government but all the same didn’t we vote for them to sort the mess the Conservatives left? What happened to that promise, oh I forgot there were 2,000 U-Turns. It must have been one of them I overlooked. It sure looks like as I have mentioned before, our worthy MPs, also the various governments have lost the art of leading the country. Sorry...

Have the lunatics taken over the asylum? Eh...

Whilst watching Prime Minister’s Question Time yesterday one could not help but feel a bit sorry for the PM. Talking about seeing and hearing someone who is way out of their depth! This is the man who wanted to be PM, now he is and I wonder what his blood pressure is at the moment. A few things he said though were true. It is not just the Labour government who is guilty of reducing the armed forces. It has been all governments since 1945. Not just in this country either. In that respect Trump was correct in denouncing Europe, western Europe as ‘freeloaders’. But Trump also needs to remember it was the American desire to be the "numero uno" in this world that facilitated it. In other words – Follow our systems, buy our weapons and we will look after you. The problem was our own governments were only too happy to follow it, never looking at possible consequences, never even considering future implications. Yes, Russia is a problem, it has been a problem ever sin...

A concerted look at the world? Hmmm...

Beginning to wonder whether Trumpy is reading my blog. He seems to be saying many things I have been writing. Whatever. Perhaps I am a ultra-right individual? But let’s be fair, the Prez is doing rather than just talking. We may argue about International Law until the pips squeek, the reality is, there is no International Law except in the woolly minds of daft politicians. Humanity has never learned the lessons meted out from history, we continually make the same mistakes over and over again. This is rooted in our make-up, our natural instincts. It is something we continually disregard. Look at these two politicians (although I smile ruefully when I say politicians) Trump and Starmer. You would not see two more diverging minds. One thinks he is Napoleon and the other thinks he is the greatest economist the world has seen. Of course, one can be belligerent having the greatest number of weapons on side as well as a sizeable army, navy and airforce. Whilst th...

Is it right? Are we lost? Well, if you have a minit, look around...

The only thing I remember, living in Wales, of St David’s Day, (G ŵ y l Dewi) is my, well ours of course, wedding anniversary. In any case there was precious little. No flags, all very quiet. Bearing in mind I feel that the bit about Welshness is being lost. Slowly but inevitably. Don’t ask me why, Pam? Well, I will leave it to your own opinion. But take the Rhondda, it seemed just another mucky Sunday. I am not sure what the people of the Rhondda feel about the degradation of their environment? Rubbish floating all around. I have mentioned all this before of course but people generally have lost their sense of pride in their environment. You get words thrown at you when pointing out we have bins at home or plastic refuse sacks, whatever but they will tell you whilst throwing out the Big Mac wrapping from a moving car, ‘It’s a job for you, innit boyo? Even yr ieunctydd lleol who are quick to protest will have no problem leaving the family ci’s emanations f...
