Are we on the right track? You bet...you lose.

OK, so the UK is slow, perhaps listening to what our valued PM says, is a coward? So, it’s OK to have bases all over the world, Chagos, Cyprus, wherever but when it comes to planning their defence, ah we don’t have the money now. We just pay Child Benefit for every child under sixteen. Lovely. Oh, and since the worthy Unions have decided that we only work from 9 to 5 in the marine shipyard because we do not want to miss our tea, the frigate we have still floating must be restocked with weapons we still have to buy, the boat cannot leave here for another 2 years.      It wouldn’t be fair to just blame the present Labour government but all the same didn’t we vote for them to sort the mess the Conservatives left? What happened to that promise, oh I forgot there were 2,000 U-Turns. It must have been one of them I overlooked. It sure looks like as I have mentioned before, our worthy MPs, also the various governments have lost the art of leading the country. Sorry...

Have the lunatics taken over the asylum? Eh...

Whilst watching Prime Minister’s Question Time yesterday one could not help but feel a bit sorry for the PM. Talking about seeing and hearing someone who is way out of their depth! This is the man who wanted to be PM, now he is and I wonder what his blood pressure is at the moment. A few things he said though were true. It is not just the Labour government who is guilty of reducing the armed forces. It has been all governments since 1945. Not just in this country either. In that respect Trump was correct in denouncing Europe, western Europe as ‘freeloaders’. But Trump also needs to remember it was the American desire to be the "numero uno" in this world that facilitated it. In other words – Follow our systems, buy our weapons and we will look after you. The problem was our own governments were only too happy to follow it, never looking at possible consequences, never even considering future implications. Yes, Russia is a problem, it has been a problem ever sin...

A concerted look at the world? Hmmm...

Beginning to wonder whether Trumpy is reading my blog. He seems to be saying many things I have been writing. Whatever. Perhaps I am a ultra-right individual? But let’s be fair, the Prez is doing rather than just talking. We may argue about International Law until the pips squeek, the reality is, there is no International Law except in the woolly minds of daft politicians. Humanity has never learned the lessons meted out from history, we continually make the same mistakes over and over again. This is rooted in our make-up, our natural instincts. It is something we continually disregard. Look at these two politicians (although I smile ruefully when I say politicians) Trump and Starmer. You would not see two more diverging minds. One thinks he is Napoleon and the other thinks he is the greatest economist the world has seen. Of course, one can be belligerent having the greatest number of weapons on side as well as a sizeable army, navy and airforce. Whilst th...

Is it right? Are we lost? Well, if you have a minit, look around...

The only thing I remember, living in Wales, of St David’s Day, (G ŵ y l Dewi) is my, well ours of course, wedding anniversary. In any case there was precious little. No flags, all very quiet. Bearing in mind I feel that the bit about Welshness is being lost. Slowly but inevitably. Don’t ask me why, Pam? Well, I will leave it to your own opinion. But take the Rhondda, it seemed just another mucky Sunday. I am not sure what the people of the Rhondda feel about the degradation of their environment? Rubbish floating all around. I have mentioned all this before of course but people generally have lost their sense of pride in their environment. You get words thrown at you when pointing out we have bins at home or plastic refuse sacks, whatever but they will tell you whilst throwing out the Big Mac wrapping from a moving car, ‘It’s a job for you, innit boyo? Even yr ieunctydd lleol who are quick to protest will have no problem leaving the family ci’s emanations f...

Weirdos have now taken over? - Oh yes, they have, oh no, they have not!

The panto is now playing to rave  reviews! It has been confirmed finally, the weirdos have taken over the country. What’s worse the ‘normal’ people are just letting it happen. Standing on the sidelines and shaking their heads. You must excuse me but I’m too old to bother I hear you say, possibly true but is it not time we do something? What happened to the so-called white majority? Are we still a white majority? Just asking. Who in all blazes started to think and act on we need millions of immigrants? Well, it has happened and still continues to happen. Everywhere the ‘normal’ people have lost their senses. Most have just simply withdrawn to their houses and closed the door. In fact not just closed the door but triple bolted it plus a guard dog sitting in the hall. Oh yes, and a killer cat. It is a terrible mind-set that has come over us. A sullen mental state of the fact we cannot do anything about it! It is why we tend to vote for people like Starmer, w...

Who runs this world, you? Eh....

How is it possible that we, the ordinary public, the ordinary voters, do allow a few individuals to ruin this world? I am talking about Putin, basically a despot and dictator, I am talking about Trump, another one albeit a beginner compared to the aforementioned, also the Iranian clergy. That’s just for starters. Altogether probably no more than 25 people who are intent on leaving their tenure nothing but ashes. It is really incredible we allow it. Every time it is the same old thing, we vote for them because of their sugary words and then find they are nothing but hollow promises. Just look at the United Kingdom, it is beyond me why it is still united but that’s another story. Just look how these promises have stacked up, can anyone tell what has come of them?      We just are saddled with Mickey Mouse university degree holders who think they know it all, while in reality they know less than a harvest mouse. Perhaps they are just capab...

Ready for war? Let's go...

One of the many questions that are or should be asked is this – Can Britain fight a war? From where I am sitting my answer would be, are you kidding? Just look at the state of our armed forces. Virtually no navy and we are very dependent on the sea being an island. Just look at our army, some 70,000 strong with most of them being upper class officers. We could just about have two brigades in the field. But we are good on parades. The air-force today is struggling to get planes into the sky and on top of that cannot decide whether these planes should be purchased from America (F35’s) or we should build them ourselves. We can’t even decide whether we should be a part of an European army. Certainly we are part of NATO for whatever that means today, as surely we can no longer depend on the USA for 100 percent. Besides that argument comes the realisation  political interference or inability to make the relevant decisions in the liberal governments of Europ...

Sir James out of order, nah not really...

What is the problem with Sir James Radcliffe? Eh? What a terrible man, they say. A money bogey man, they say. Well, let me tell you this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. When he speaks, it is in proper English, he puts his money where his thoughts lead him. So, when he speaks it is well formulated and talks of his views of how British society is performing. Frankly, it is not performing well. When Sir James talks of ‘Immigrants having colonised Britain’ he is not far from the way it is. The government, or rather our esteemed permanently dazed PM might ask for apologies which as we all know is the daily act of our ‘wonderful’ man of the world. Our PM, might blow hot but the reality is here the good Sir James said it as it is. Strong words, yes of course but in my and loads of other people’s feelings, not strong enough. We can all see non-indigenous characters in positions of power. It is not saying these are uneducated morons but they do not have th...

What is happening Starmer baby? Get head out of arse!

How many times does it need to be said – There is something iffy about those in power. Whether power corrupts or not is not in question – it seemingly does. Take our PM Starmer. A nice enough person I’m sure, became holder of a nice job, a solicitor, lawyer and then a reasonably good barrister dealing with immigrants and their problems. Why he suddenly got aspirations to want to be a politician and in particular seemed married to the idea that to be prime minister of this coutnry was precisely the thing for him. To be PM needs balls of steel, so to say because as we all (except Starmer) know women are different. But ‘balls’ in this sense is an allegory, if you get the meaning. That is precisely the problem with Starmer, nice guy trying hard to ingratiate himself with the wider public. Instead of steely governing his party, his MPs, he continually governed by looking at what social media said. Well, you simply cannot govern like that, U-turns to ‘satisfy’ socia...

Do the rich and powerful err - sure they do...

How deep the rich and powerful can fall. On top of that the details can be quite sordid. One of the questions I would like to see answered is, how did this Epstein fellow get all his money? On top of that what did he do with it besides giving it away to politicians? A quick search through AI shows some nefarious actions. Billionaires are mentioned and one of the mysteries is how Epstein managed to act as a tax expert without any qualifications or even being licensed. Besides all of that the amount of documents, photographs and more shows that the man exercised some power over others, possibly through a form of blackmail. The other thing that is shown through all of this is how low the entitled persons go. Either to satisfy their depraved sexual ideas or simply get some ‘easy’ money. As I have mentioned many times, we need to look closely at the behaviour of those who ‘lead’ us, either elected or not. Although I accept we can never eradicate the sort of situati...

The Holocaust.... problematic?

It might have escaped most people’s attention but today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. A day when it is remembered six million Jewish faith people died and an untold number of soldiers during the last World War. It takes some soul searching why it was possible to carry out the atrocities as described in many films recovered from that time. Who can forget the visions of emaciated corpses heaped up in hills of rotting flesh. Of walking skeletons? It is hard to believe there are people today who glorify this, who believe it is the Jews responsibility. Ask yourself why? Do we in the UK think like that? Do we in Wales? There are people who believe it never happened. It is all something drummed up by politicians or nefarious organisations. God knows for what purpose that would be.      The question though is this – how do rational beings with a thinking forward capability believe that a subsection of humanity is subhuman and needs to be exterminated?...

Politics or a comedy show?

American politics is collapsing into an absolute farce. Instead of well-researched details properly obtained and verified we now get off the cuff remarks that bear litle truth to the reality on the ground. What is even worse is the continual kowtowing of European leaders in order to ‘safeguard’ their perceived standing. I remember the ‘Dear Donald’ moment performed by NATO secretary-general Mark Rutte. He was just seconds away from trying to kiss Trump. Hopefully without tongues. But it is the situation today. So, an emboldened Trump who has seen his ‘off-the-cuff’ actions succeed has now started on a serious attempt to acquire Greenland as being part of the United States. That must be one of the silliest mistakes a leader can possibly make. Attacking an ally who is also part of many of the same institutions. NATO in particular. As soon as that came to the Kremlin, they held a champagne party to celebrate the obvious legitimising of their Ukraine invasion. If ...

Infrastructure? What infrastructure...

This morning’s TV news is as per the usual an eye-opener on the incredible incompetency of our hallowed public servants. Whether elected or just employed they all seem to have gone to the same school. It was incredible to listen to the leader of Cardiff Council talking about there not being enough school places for the children. Really? No shit, baby. It is something people like myself have been saying for so long it has become a song. The problem is quite easy to see. Housebuilding by the thousands and when people have moved in there will be children. Either ready made or being born. You know what they say – new house, new baby! Might be something to do with the soothing noise of the Air source heat pump I suppose. Time and again the same problem surfaces, the lack of infrastructure. It is fine to build houses but what about the services that will be needed? The shallow thinking is so pathetic it is akin to the American White House style. Are these the people lea...

Ol' Farmer Donald T right? Well, see here...judge for yourself

You can say whatever you think about Baby Trump. The way he conducts politics, the way he sounds off on social media, whatever. But in one of the Quora messages about him, quoting a post from his Donald J. Trump account he has posted the following about there is only two options to deal with illegals – 1) Deport every 3-world immigrant, illegal alien, and America hating Visa holder and 2) Surrender your nation the way the UK have and watch your society collapse in the coming years.      The observation from point 2 is very spot on in my opinion. In fact it has already well progressed. Society in the UK and viewing it from my sofa is fractured beyond repair. Even in small places such as where I am living we are seeing immigrants, social misfits, drug addicts, you name it being sidled into society. Housing being built in so many places, lots of unsuitable places just to accommodate the influx. What local councils don’t do is quite evident as w...

Decline? Really? Where?

Reading a Telegraph article about decline was to say the least, eye-opening. Obviously I have been thinking about decline in many different ways, you cannot escape it as the signs are all around us. It even comes to the point of thinking, ‘What is the use of humanity on this planet’? In the wider world most of us, as the Telegraph article pointed out, do not think about decline. Basically, we tend to accept it. Same for myself, I think about it, I wonder why, then go back to sleep. Yet it should really bother us. The problem becomes much worse when politicians do the same. They think about it, then accept it as a state of affairs. It happens, accept it. As such nothing much is really done, visualise the boats on the Channel with literally thousands of immigrants. Basically accepted, visualise the NHS and its inabilities to come to grips with waiting times and also the lack of beds. All basically accepted as the way it is. Bar the usual fuzzy TV debates as how they are going to attack t...

More musings...

It is a great time for European politicians to start trying to figure out how they so miserably failed. Failed in their own defense, failed in anticipating the way the US is doing its politics and primarily its views on world power blocks. Don’t tell me it was not known how Trump behaves and what he is about. It is like “Ah, let’s not worry, we will control him”. Yes, and how do you control an unpredictable human being? It is like walking through the African savannah ignoring the lion stalking you. Don’t be surprised if you end up in its stomach. The situation with Trump is simple, he has the idea of power blocs. He, that is to say the US, is to control the western hemisphere. The American action in Venezuela shows that without doubt. More might follow there. Cuba, Bolivia and possibly Brazil as well. Greenland is a dead duck, the US will almost certainly take it over. It isn’t really about security, it is more about resources. Greenland has rich veins of lithium amongst other metal...

New Year Musings

As I am a reader of Quora and know that 95% of it is absolute crap, somethings the remaining 5% show up some insight what is really going on. One of the those asked ‘Is Britain (the UK) on the brink of collapse? Now normally I would laugh at such a question but lately? No, I am not. Let’s have a look, are there indicators? Well, yes weak government as the article says ‘Complex, ineffective government systems’. I would go further and say simply, ‘The government has lost the plot’. The article also states ‘People have lost faith and question legitimacy in institutions’. That would be a recipe for insurrection or let’s just say ‘revolution’. It also stated there was ‘Inequality rising towards dangerous levels’. Yes indeed, that is very visible. Looking at Wales , Scotland and comparing that with London and environs, there is an unbelievable difference. What’s more most of those who support that situation are MP’s from the Home Counties. Even so, in the middle of all that excessive ‘wealth...

Debt? What debt...

Watching some of the TV news you might get the impression we are all mad. We have politicians pontificating about issues they have no idea about. You only have to watch the Australian PM or one of our own dwarves named Starmer. As a matter of fact you noticed I did not name the POTUS. I like him actually, at least he seems to know what he is doing. Alienating about everybody else on the planet. I also think it is about high time politicians, at least the top politicians stop putting into the pot ideas they have about how to rule. To be brutally honest, those ideas are just pantomime. It is high time they start thinking about what the country as a whole desperately needs. Politicians also need to understand you cannot be friends with every Tom, D*ck and Harry. But surely politicians need to get to grip with the finances. Basically because what you don’t have you cannot spend. If you do spend what you do not have there will be a cost. Just to mention here that cost to the UK population i...

Politics right, or left, or even wrong?

We have complained quite a few times about the quality of politicians. But why do we have to do that? Writing or saying it is easy enough but is it the reality? The facts are politicians exist as a subgroup of volunteers who generally tend to be at the extremes of belief systems. The belief systems being the right and left of the political spectrum. That seems a stark exclamation but the reality shows it to be true. Obviously, there are also those who are at varying positions within that spectrum. In general, people have enabled mentally and morally deformed leaders to take control. Good people cannot be bothered to go into politics. This statement seems particularly true of the two power-blocks, the US and Russia. So, what about the UK? I wouldn’t declare Starmer and Co as morally defunct or deformed but there are questions about their political acumen and ideas about what is truth. One of the questions I struggle with is what should politics be about? First and foremost it should ...

Get working politicians - No2

Carrying on from a previous post concerning the state of politics, the real state and not just what our wonderful government tells us, it needs mentioning the state of it gets worse day by day. In Russia we get high placed individuals openly declaring ‘nuking’ Europe is a real possibility. Even just saying one capital needs to be ‘nuked’ as a lesson to who is boss. In America (the US) its president simply declares Europe is basically a non-entity and not worthy to be defended. The truth is harsh because parts of it are correct. On the news channels a former head of the Army said in 2024 the UK should train a ‘Citizen Army’. That idea was simply laughed at by No.10. Yet other European countries now are installing forms of military service. Simply because it is getting into our heads that numbers still matter viewing what is happening in Ukraine. Sir Ben Wallace, a previous Defence Secretary said “The reality is our armed forces cannot survive on a diet of government spin, over-the-horiz...
